We are pleased to announce that our company has been assigned the construction of the Façade of the Mall Plovdiv, a landmark project in Bulgaria. PLOVDIV PLAZA is a mixed-use development, comprising of a 35,000 m2 retail and a 10,410 m2 class A office space. It is located in Plovdiv, the second biggest city in Bulgaria, on 3, D-r Georgi Stranski Street. PLOVDIV PLAZA was built in 2010, renovated in 2016 – 2017 and is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2018. PLOVDIV PLAZA will be not only the biggest shopping center in Plovdiv but also in the whole South Central region. It will be a venue, where visitors will have the opportunity to experience a variety of services, retail and entertainment options. The project will also offer class A office spaces to the most innovative companies, looking for a prestigious and modern location to set up their contemporary workplace.
The internal and external renovation designs have been completed by Stephen George International, a leading architectural office in Bulgaria with subsidiaries in London and Sofia. The asset is managed by ARCELAND Capital Management whereas Colliers International operate as leasing consultants.
The facade is comprised of approximately 6800 sqm of perforated Aluminum Panels. Based on the architectural concept of the Mall Façade, the R&D Department of Aluminco SA has developed a special substructure system that will allow the quick and secure deployment of the Aluminum Panels. The impressive patterns of the façade will be produced by our millimeter accurate CNC machines. The panels and the substructure will be perforated in our cutting edge powder coating facility, which fulfills the Qualicoat certification standards. For this project the structural powder colors Interpon 2525 from Akzonobel are suitable, enclosing a 25 year warranty.
